FlashNAS FN-1500 Series
FlashNAS FN-1500 Series serves as 1U "gateway" with storage-based FlashDisk RAID or as a “appliance” with server-based EcoStore RAID using a single Intel Nehalem-class, Xeon 3470 quad-core processor that runs Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2008 R2. It supports volumes to 256 TB and enables flexible and easy deployment of FlashDisk arrays to multiple servers and hundreds of users over your existing LAN infrastructure. FlashNAS serves files to any Windows, Unix and Mac OS-X client without added hardware, software or rebooting the client.
Up to 772 TB with Snapshots, Speed, De-duplication and Intuitive GUI
FlashNAS scales to 772 TB of storage with two fully loaded FlashDisk VX-3400 disk arrays for primary and secondary storage. FlashNAS let you create frequent, scheduled snapshot backups to protect data and provide rapid data restores using Windows Volume Shadow Copy Services (VSS). For maximum performance, FlashNAS is optimized for file serving and is 30% faster than a standard Windows Server. It supports both NAS “files” and also SAN “volumes” (as iSCSI targets) with Microsoft Unified Storage Services (USS).
FlashNAS offers built-in data de-duplication featuring Single Instance Storage (SIS) that saves typically 35% of the storage space by eliminating duplicate files - linking them instead of storing them multiple times. To simplify management, FlashNAS has an intuitive, web-based GUI that simplifies storage management. It supports 64 point-in-time snapshots per volume, folder based quotas, native support for Windows, Linux and UNIX environments and file sharing across multiple operating systems.
FlashNAS includes: Support for both block and file storage using iSCSI target mode; Support for PC and MAC clients for media, research, education and collaboration; Optional CA WANsync for local and remote real-time, one-way, bi-directional and many-to-one replication.
